2. Scope

This policy applies to the website followthecult.de. Separate websites and services linked from this website, including the Shopify store at shop.followthecult.de, are governed by their own privacy information.

3. Technical access and server logs

When you access this website, technical request data may be processed automatically to deliver the page securely and reliably. This may include IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser and device information, operating system and response status.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are secure website operation, error analysis and protection against misuse. Data is retained only for as long as required for these purposes and applicable security or legal obligations, and is then deleted or anonymised.

4. Hosting and recipients

The website is delivered using OpenAI Sites and associated technical infrastructure. Hosting, security and delivery providers may process technical access data on our behalf or as independent providers where technically necessary. Processing outside the European Economic Area may occur where the respective legal requirements and appropriate safeguards are met.

5. Images and video

The hero video and website images are hosted directly as part of this website. Viewing them does not require an embedded connection to YouTube, Vimeo or a social-media platform.

6. Email contact

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide to respond to your enquiry. Depending on the subject, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual communication or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general business communication. We delete correspondence when it is no longer required, subject to statutory retention obligations.

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe through the form on this website, your email address, the time of consent and the source of the registration are transmitted securely to our Shopify store and stored in our Shopify customer and email-subscriber list. We use this information to send news about FTC missions, releases, events and selected stories.

Processing is based on your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time for the future by using the unsubscribe link contained in each newsletter or by contacting info@followthecult.de. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Shopify provides the technical subscriber management and email-delivery functionality. Further information about Shopify-related processing is available in the privacy information of our store at shop.followthecult.de/policies/privacy-policy.

8. Cookies and device storage

We do not intentionally use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies on this website at present. Technically necessary security or delivery mechanisms may be used where required to provide the service. If non-essential cookies or similar technologies are introduced, they will only be used in accordance with the consent requirements of Section 25 TDDDG and the GDPR.

9. External links

This website links to external services, including the separate Shopify store. Data is transferred to an external provider only when you follow the relevant link. The privacy policy of that provider then applies.

10. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, contact office@blackrivergroup.de.
